Leonardo di Piero da Vinci: One of the Worlds Most Amazing People

Leonardo di Piero da Vinci, also known as Leonardo da Vinci, was one of the best painter's ever. Known everywhere for his paintings, Leonardo da Vinci was also an amazing inventor. He thought of helicopters, a tank, concentrated solar power, a calculator, and even the theory plate tectonics (Plate tectonics is a scientific theory which describes the large scale motions of Earth's lithosphere). He was also very interested in science. He studied the fields of anatomy, civil engineering, and botany. As for his paintings, Leonardo's most famous are Mona Lisa, Last Supper, and The Vitruvian Man.

Not much is known about Leonardo da Vinci's childhood. When Leonardo was fourteen, he was an apprentice to the artist Andrea di Cione, known as Verrocchio. There he was educated in the art of art. Many painters were apprenticed or associated with Verrocchio.

Leonardo lived in Ludovico il Moro in Milan, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Vinci in Florence, and France. His earliest known drawing was in 1473. Some people say Leonardo had ADHD. He had many signs of it. Leonardo loves planning drawings, but seemed to finishing painting it less enthusiastic.

Some fun facts about Leonardo da Vinci are

  • Stingy with money

  •  Loved learning

  • Had journals filled with nothing but studies of different things like hand postures

  •  Drew three of the most famous paintings, Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and The
    Viruvian Man

  • Name means Leonardo, (son) of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci

Leonardo is one of the remarkable people Earth ever created. He was more than just a painter. He had ideas of things we use. Here is a list of good books on Leonardo.

  5. I didn't either! I think he was stingy because he was raised to be, but it's just a theory.

Or maybe it's not..... I'll have to look into that.
